Since there isn’t a direct translation for this, the title has been left in pinyin.Update 15/10/22: Since the new entries (wolves, wood) relates more to nature and given the personalities of our main leads, it seemed apt to go with the word, “Wild”. “Someone like my brother.”MY REACTION TO READING THIS BOOK FOR THE FIRST TIME: THE GREAT SCAM!!🤧🤧(I'm rereading it and writing another review. I'll add it here some other time.)This book starts off really adorable. The mc and ml are young kids who become brothers. The younger one gets adopted by the family of the ML.At the age of 6, Yijie is a self-sufficient little boy, who can do most things by himself, due to 6 years being in an orphanage, where he had to be adaptable.He's an adorable kid, looks and personality. But he doesn't talk a lot, that's why he never gets the chance to be adopted.The story starts when he starts living with his new family, that included a new mom and dad, and an older brother, Fu Kun. The two become really close, attached by the hip. Yijie adores his brother, and believes he can do no wrong. He idolizes him a lot. They do all things together, goes to school, play outside and all things kids like to do. But Yijie, unlike Fu Kun, is studious. He knows to be good at everything, coz he fears being abandoned. Fu Kun, on the other hand, is quite the troublemaker, but he's an amazing artist. He loves drawing comics and arts in general.As the story progresses, a lot of things happen in their neighborhood, that are hilarious. And we get to learn more and more about our mc and ml, the people that surrounds them. Their family, the aunts and uncles that live in their community, the bullies, the fragile Xia Fei and his friend, Qingkai, the daughter of a neighbor who gets pregnant at 16, we also witness the growth of everyone, including Dui Dui, Yijie's dog.Everything seems great, but in that short childhood, it's so heartbreaking and heartfelt for the reader. So full of emotions. You can feel the struggles of the MC, his fears and ingenuity.I truly fell in love with the characters of this book. Fu Yijie and Fu Kun have that kind of attraction to a reader that would make you weep, laugh, angry, ache and love. It is a slow burn story, but would leave you breathless in anticipation. For more than 3/4 of the story, I wondered, is this story happy ending, sad ending, bad ending or open ending? The couple doesn't get together until just a few chapters before the story ends.There were a lot of things that happened, to the mc and ml. That includes their struggles over their sexuality, the taboos of getting together (having grown up as brothers), the fear of being ostracized, (also, of what his parents would do).This also includes the struggles of Yijie as he strive for his studies and career, Fu Kun's career and business. And their relationship with classmates and childhood friends. Along with a few scum people who try to take advantage. And gangs who get beat up, and girls who flirt with Fu Kun.I love the bond between these two brothers, and the bond towards their parents. Their mother, is an amazing parent. It doesn't take away from the father, but their mom, truly is one of a kind. She has a set of techniques when doing punishment. Her parenting ability, is superb. Aah. I truly love her. Examples of her punishment include, carry buckets of water to clean the bathroom (coz Fu Kun truly is a troublemaker---forging parents signature in school, things like that-🤣), or separating black and white sesame seeds,--😶.. or the time when he went home so late his mom locked him out and he said he got bitten by 5 mosquitoes alrdy, so she told him he can't get in unless it's alrdy 20 mosquito bites-🤧🤧🤣. But her love for her children is bountiful.There's also a side cp, Xia fei and Zhang Qingkai,--- IDK what to say about this cp, except I died while reading about them. As for why, you should read the book to know.I do wanna say that the smut in this book is superbly written, so soft and emotional, and hot hot hot 🔥🔥🔥🔥!! Wu Zhe wrote almost 2 chapters of their first time, and some other chaps that have intimacy between the main cp.I CRIED A LOT READING THIS BOOK. It's adorable, BUT IT'S A FCKING SCAM. WU ZHE IS A SCAMMER. SCAM!!!.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. A slice of life.. that would take not just a slice of your soul, but all in its entirety--😭😭..PS: YIJIE IS SO HANDSOME WHEN PLAYING BASKETBALL!!😭😭. Fu Kun--😭😭 has a thing about always being in his best outfit. He applied for a first middle school, BECAUSE THEIR UNIFORM MAKES HIM SUPER HANDSOME.PPS: Wu Zhe likes to make her characters dog-like. ALWAYS BITING the other person--😶😶😶
